It's spooky season! You know what that means. Our partners have no more excuses to not wear a mask in public and chase us around the block.

What? Yes, I did write that. Honestly, I am begging my partner for over a year to finally chase me. I have high hopes that it might be the time this year.

A good hunt is well prepared. You need 3 things:

  1. The outfit + object of horror
  2. The final location
  3. The right mood

Shopping the outfit

First and foremost, we need the right outfit (including a mask for obvious reasons). From past experience I know, don't choose the cheapest one. Your partner won't be able to breathe, will start sweating and you end up carrying him home.

Ghostface is my personal favorite for Halloween. And what does Ghostface need besides the mask? Right, a knife!

We've got you covered! Our knife looks real, feels amazing, and is safe enough that you can still show up at work the next day.

Originally made to bring the story of Pretty Little Fears by S.J. Ryder to life.
But also the perfect companion for a nice primal play or CNC.

Pretty Little Fears (Blackwood University, #1)Emmett - The knife from Pretty Little Fears

Looks like a real knife and feels surprisingly realistic, but it can't hurt you.
Still, it's meant to make you scream.

Ok, lets move on.

The final location

I find this the most difficult part. The most fun for hunt at Halloween might be a Cemetery or the woods. Much simpler could be, you Uber to a location a short run away from home.
If you have a little extra time, turn the experience into a mini getaway and book a night at a spicy hotel.

Whatever you decide. Especially for this last step: always be mindful of your environment.
If you choose the spicy hotel option, make sure, to inform the staff.

And decide upfront where the hunt starts and where it ends. You don't want to start brainstorming during the evening.

Set the right mood, take your time

Like in our beloved books. Tension must build up. Sure, your partner won't stand outside of your window for weeks. At least mine not. So, we need a more pragmatic approach.

My action plan is as follows:

1. Get started with a light horror movie
Ideally something that fits to your chosen outfit. For me it will be Scream 1 this year, my favorite. This will help my partner to find into his role.

2. Dress up and go to a haunted trail
Get active and take your energy to the next level. I am a fan of haunted trails. A haunted maze could be even better. More opportunities to start practicing.

3. Haunted speakeasy
Afterwards, make a break at a haunted speakeasy. Don't stay too long. This is not the end of the evening. Take one or two drinks only.

4. The hunt begins
Get to your start point (e.g. around the block from where you live). Put on your mask. Give some headstart.

5. The catch
The final catch happens at the designated endpoint: a safe and private place where your ultimate CNC experience can begin. Therefore, it is important to select an object that does not actually get dangerous.

Important safety information

Make sure that you both know your safeword. A safeword is one of the most important things if you test out boundaries. It gives all participants control over the situation, without taking the fun out of role play.

Nothing more to say. Let the hunt begin.

Let the hunt begin

The blade profile. The proportions. The presentation. Emmett may look very realistic but is yet (body-)safe to use. Stable and yet soft in exactly the right places.

This knife will make you scream in the best possible way.
